Coffs Harbour and Port Macquarie

On our way south travelling through New South Wales we stopped at both Coffs Harbour and Port Macquarie, two very pretty coastal towns.

While visiting Coffs Harbour we walked out to Muttonbird Island Nature Reserve for fantastic views over the Harbour and out to the ocean. We visited the Sunday farmers markets and sampled locally grown bananas, homemade macadamia biscuits and fudge. We also spent the afternoon on the beach soaking up the sun.

In Port Macquarie we hired bikes and cycled around harbour as well as exploring the town. We walked the 12km coastal path to the lighthouse passing numerous bush trails, beaches and coves all of which had incredible views of the coastline. We spotted lots of local wildlife too.
