Christmas in Perth

We have had the most fantastic Christmas in Perth. Firstly, it has been great to catch up with family, who have been wonderful hosts, and secondly we have enjoyed chilling out in the same place for just over two weeks, recharging our batteries for the last leg of our trip.

We were worried that Christmas in the sunshine wouldn't feel like Christmas, but we were proved wrong and had a really great day.

On Christmas Eve we put our mince pie and milk out for Santa, a carrot for Rudolph and dust for the rest of the reindeers.

Soon after the children went to bed the baileys and mince pies were out before Santa made his delivery at Flamborough St.

It was an early start on Christmas morning with Tilly and Fred who were very excited to receive bikes, scooters and a mountain of toys.

Once the wrapping paper was cleared away we jumped in the car and went down to the beach in our swimmers and Christmas hats to have a dip in the sea and let Frank (Lisa and Dom's whippet) have a run on the beach.

Then it was back to the house for breakfast and to put the last finishing touches together for the Christmas lunch, including Lisa's Trifle and Christmas Sangria. Then set the table for the arrival of our many guests.

Everyone arrived armed with their contribution to the Christmas feast. After lunch we exchanged Secret Santa presents, lounged around the pool, had an afternoon game of cricket on the green in front of the house and then partied into the early hours with more people arriving in the evening. Christmas in the sun is definitely lots of fun.
