We've made it to the islands

• After a very long journey from the north (Chiang Mai) to the South we have finally made it to Koh Phagnan. It taken two days to get here including a 12 hour train journey, 17 hour bus journey and 2 and a half hours on a ferry. But with the reward of a beautiful beach and a beach hut to call home for the next 4 days we can say it has been worth it.
  
  
  
  

Foodie heaven

We are really enjoying the food here in Thailand. It is so fresh. The seafood is amazing. Been eating from street stalls a lot as it's delicious and unbelievably cheap.

We love elephants!!!!

We have had the best day at the Ran Tong Save & Rescue Elephant Centre. It is a wonderful sanctuary for elephants who are really cared for. We learnt about the life of the elephants and how they came to be at the centre. We fed them, rode them bare back through the forest and bathed them in a watering hole. It was amazing. The elephants were so gentle. It is an experience we will never forget x

All aboard the night train

Well we are agreed the night trains are a good option. 1st class was fine. We think 2nd class would have actually been fine too. We both slept reasonable well and managed to get plenty of research done for the next few weeks. Snacking on crab curry crisps was Steve's research fuel through the night.

Cocktails at the Moon Bar, Bangkok

We drank Honeymoon Cocktails at the Moon Bar on our last evening in Bangkok! Moon Bar is a roof top bar with fantastic views of the city. It been a great few days in a luxury hotel. Now the backpacking adventure really begins. Roughing it in hostels it is from now on ✈️🌍

Thai Cooking School

We've had a great time learning how to cook traditional Thai food today. It started with a visit to a local market to buy ingredients. Then we prepared, cooked and a five course meal. Yummy x

Perfect start to married life

We are having so much fun. Enjoying seeing the sights of Bangkok during the day and eating delicious food washed down with beers sand cocktails in the evening. The perfect start to married life and this is just the beginning 🍸🍺

We have arrived in Bangkok

This lovely air conditioned bedroom was a very welcome sight after a long journey and 33 degree heat carrying our backpacks from the airport. We loved our rose petal honeymoon heart x

And we're off!

So after packing, unpacking, halving the load and packing again on Sunday night. We were ready to begin our honeymoon adventure. Two very excited newlyweds as you can see x
